With a compassionate approach, she supports patients as they navigate challenging transitions, ensuring they receive the guidance and care needed to regain independence.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Rahman was drawn to Shepherd Center for its strong commitment to patient and family-centered care. She values the collaborative environment, where staff work together to problem-solve and help patients reach their goals during some of the most difficult moments in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from New York City, Dr. Rahman is actively involved in professional organizations, serving as President of the Academy of Rehabilitation Psychology, a member of the Division 22 Education &amp; Training Committee, and a The Council of Rehabilitation Psychology Postdoctoral Training Programs (CRPPTP) member.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of her clinical work, she enjoys mentoring students, hiking with her dog, and crafting intricate meals with her husband.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Punam Rahman is a clinical neurorehabilitation psychologist at Shepherd Center.
