You will be asked to complete the following steps in the application process:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Write a short answer response not to exceed 500 words responding to the below items:\n<ol>\n<li>Reasons for choosing a career in nursing<\/li>\n<li>Commitment to the nursing profession<\/li>\n<li>Interest in catastrophic care<\/li>\n<li>Career goals after graduation<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>Request two letters of recommendation from current faculty at your college or university, using our <a class=\"\" title=\"\" href=\"https:\/\/shepherd.tfaforms.net\/f\/nurse-scholars-reference\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recommendation form for faculty submissions<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Request a copy of your university transcript to be sent directly from your university to the Shepherd Nurse Scholar Selection Committee.
