We offer two year-long resident positions, available to individuals who:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Possess a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.<\/li>\n<li>Are eligible for licensure in the state of Georgia.<\/li>\n<li>Are enrolled in the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists (ASHP) Matching Program (National Matching Service Code 286813).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>How to apply<\/h2>\n<p>Shepherd participates in the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS). To apply, the following must be <a href=\"https:\/\/phorcas.liaisoncas.com\/applicant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">submitted through PhORCAS<\/a> by the deadline to be considered for an onsite interview:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Curriculum Vitae (CV)<\/li>\n<li>Letter of intent<\/li>\n<li>Three letters of recommendation from preceptors or employers<\/li>\n<li>Pharmacy school transcripts<\/li>\n<li>Notification of any work permit, visa, or licensure issues<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Application deadlines<\/h2>\n<p><strong>The application period for the current residency year is closed. The next application cycle will begin in November.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\">\n\t<div class=\"idf-block text-content\">\n\t\t<h2>Resident matching process<\/h2>\n<p>The Residency Advisory Committee evaluates candidates each year. All qualifying candidates\u2019 application materials will be screened using a standardized rubric that takes into account scholarly activity, professional and community involvement, work \/practice experience, learning experience rotations, letters of recommendation, and letters of intent.<\/p>\n<p>An opportunity to interview will be offered to the top candidates.
