Her expertise covers a wide range of patient diagnoses, including traumatic brain injury, stroke (CVA), brain tumors, anoxic brain injury, encephalopathy, Guillain-Barr\u00e9 syndrome, multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, and dual diagnosis cases of TBI and spinal cord injury. Her prior experience also encompasses the management of physical therapy needs and coverage in a 10-bed ICU.<\/p>\n<p>Her commitment to neurologic physical therapy extends beyond her managerial role to the Mercer University-Shepherd Center Residency in Neurologic Physical Therapy, where she took the lead in its development in 2011 and currently serves as the program coordinator. In this capacity, she is instrumental in continually refining and organizing the residency program to maintain its position at the forefront of innovation and excellence in the field. Lauren actively promotes increased mentorship and resident involvement, fostering a vibrant community of professionals dedicated to neurologic physical therapy.<\/p>\n<p>Lauren\u2019s active involvement in professional organizations exemplifies her unwavering dedication to advancing her field. She is a proud member of the American Physical Therapy Association, the Physical Therapy Association of Georgia, and the Neurology Section of APTA.
