Inspired by his father and grandfather, who were both physicians, Dr. Dennison was motivated to pursue a career in medicine, recognizing its potential for fulfilling his academic strengths and providing a meaningful professional path.<\/p>\n<p>Dr. Dennison is known for his excellent communication skills and his commitment to involving both the treatment team and the patient\u2019s family in the care plan. He believes in keeping an open mind and listening to others\u2019 opinions to provide the best possible care.<\/p>\n<p>Shepherd Center&#8217;s mission to help patients rebuild their lives with hope, independence, and dignity is central to Dr. Dennison&#8217;s approach. He emphasizes the importance of treating patients with respect and not objectifying them based on their disease or injury. Dr. Dennison offers hope to his patients by sharing stories of recovery and utilizing peer visitors who can provide unique support and encouragement.<\/p>\n<p>Outside of his professional life, Dr. Dennison enjoys spending time with his wife, Olivia, a speech-language pathologist, and their children. Dr. Dennison is musically talented, playing the bass, guitar, and mandolin, and he was part of a cover band during his time at Emory University.
