      About<\/h2>\n

      Dr. Ben Thrower is a neurologist and the Medical Director of the Andrew C. Carlos MS Institute at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He attended undergraduate college at Florida State University and medical school at the University of Florida. His neurology training was at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio. Dr. Thrower is the Senior Medical Advisor for MS Focus and co-authored Navigating Life with MS for the American Academy of Neurology. He has been the principal investigator on over 80 clinical studies in MS. He is an Associate Professor of Neurology at the Augusta University\/UGA Medical Partnership. He and his pediatrician wife, Karen, serve on the board of Comunidad Connect and provide medical care to underserved areas in rural Nicaragua.<\/p>\n
