      Dr. Brock Bowman serves as the Associate Medical Director at Shepherd Center, specializing in the treatment of patients with concurrent brain and spinal cord injuries. In this role, he is an integral member of several key committees, including the Executive Management Team, Senior Management Team, Utilization Review Committee, Research Review Committee, Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee, Peer Review Committee, and Medical Executive Committee.<\/p>\n

      Dr. Bowman’s journey into medicine was deeply influenced by personal experiences. A significant knee injury sustained during high school football required extensive rehabilitation, sparking his interest in the field. Additionally, his high school football coach, who had Lou Gehrig\u2019s disease, demonstrated remarkable resilience and leadership, further inspiring Dr. Bowman to pursue a career in rehabilitation medicine.<\/p>\n

      At Shepherd Center, Dr. Bowman values the institution’s can-do approach, which encourages patients to achieve remarkable recoveries. He appreciates the center\u2019s commitment to balancing hope with reality, pushing patients to reach their full potential while providing the necessary support and truthfulness. His dedication to his patients and his field has been recognized by his inclusion in the Top Doctors List by both U.S. News and Atlanta Magazine.<\/p>\n

      Witnessing the resilience and strength of his patients continually inspires Dr. Bowman. Their ability to overcome catastrophic injuries and achieve significant milestones reaffirms his dedication to his profession. He believes in the power of hope, divine intervention, and the potential for future advancements in medical research to improve patient outcomes.<\/p>\n

      Originally from Los Gatos, California, Dr. Bowman is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the American Spinal Injury Association. His contributions to the field have been recognized with the Robert L. Bennett, M.D., Award for Teaching Excellence in Physiatry from Emory University, which he has received twice.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n
