An experienced librarian is available to help with medical research. We offer specialized information on spinal cord injuries, brain injuries, multiple sclerosis, post-polio, and other neurological disorders.<\/p>\n<h2>Location<\/h2>\n<p>1st floor, <a href=\"https:\/\/shepherd.org\/about\/locations\/shepherd-center\/\">Shepherd Center&#8217;s main campus<\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Hours<\/h2>\n<p>Monday-Friday: 10:00 a.m. &#8211; 4:30 p.m.<\/p>\n<h2>Resources<\/h2>\n<p>The library provides medical books, journals and databases, patient and family medical resources, educational DVDs, and computers for researching medical issues.<\/p>\n<p>The NLRC is a member of:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>National Network of Libraries of Medicine Southeastern-Atlantic Region (NN\/LM SE\/A)<\/li>\n<li>Medical Library Association (MLA)<\/li>\n<li>Southern Chapter of the Medical Library Association (SC\/MLA)<\/li>\n<li>Georgia Health Sciences Library Association (GHSLA)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Services<\/h2>\n<p>The NLRC offers a variety of helpful resources and services, including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Access to medical books:<\/strong> Choose from a collection of consumer and clinical medical books, available in both hard copy and electronic formats. Books can be checked out by hospital staff, patients, and their families.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Medical database access:<\/strong> Employees can access medical databases through the intranet. Patients and families can use these databases via the library computers.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Emergency voting resources:<\/strong> We provide information and resources to help patients and families secure their ballots during emergencies.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Literature search assistance:<\/strong> Need a specific article or research? Contact the librarian for a literature search or help obtaining articles.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Computer access:<\/strong> Library computers with internet access are available for patients and families. Please note, we are not a public library. For public computer access, we recommend visiting the Atlanta-Fulton County Public Library.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--link-block
