We offer comprehensive services for the following diagnoses:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Traumatic spinal cord injury that has resulted in paraplegia, tetraplegia, or high tetraplegia (including patients who use ventilators to breathe)<\/li>\n<li>Non-traumatic spinal cord injury, such as spinal stroke, spinal tumors, aneurysm<\/li>\n<li>Brain injury, encompassing traumatic brain injury, encephalitis, anoxia, and tumors, as well as those who are semi-comatose or minimally conscious<\/li>\n<li>Stroke (for individuals who are medically and functionally appropriate)<\/li>\n<li>Multiple trauma (with or without brain or spinal cord injury)<\/li>\n<li>Traumatic amputations (with or without brain or spinal cord injury)<\/li>\n<li>Dual diagnosis (spinal cord and acquired brain injury)<\/li>\n<li>Neurological demyelinating illnesses, including multiple sclerosis, transverse myelitis, Guillain-Barr\u00e9 syndrome, and acute inflammatory demyelinating polyneuropathy<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Services we don&#8217;t provide<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>Dialysis<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>Inpatient admissions criteria<\/h2>\n<p>Eligibility for our inpatient programming is assessed based on the following criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Patient meets Shepherd Center\u2019s medical criteria for admissions, including conditions we treat (see above list) and not requiring services we don\u2019t provide (such as dialysis).<\/li>\n<li>Patient is medically and surgically stable.<\/li>\n<li>Patient can demonstrate the ability to participate and tolerate three hours of therapy per day.<\/li>\n<li>Patient has a support system to provide an appropriate discharge plan following the hospital stay.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Feel free to contact us at <a href=\"tel:404-350-7367\">404-350-7367<\/a>, Monday through Friday, between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. ET, to discuss specific information regarding these listed conditions or other unlisted injuries.<\/p>\n\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"paragraph-widget paragraph-widget--text-html\">\n\t<div class=\"idf-block text-content\">\n\t\t<h2>Why we are the right choice for your patients<\/h2>\n<p>At Shepherd Center, we combine specialized expertise with compassionate care to help your patients achieve their best possible outcomes.
