She is deeply committed to providing quality, empathetic care, ensuring that each person she works with feels heard, understood, and supported. Cheryl has a particular passion for working with adolescents experiencing trauma, guiding them toward healing with patience and understanding.<\/p>\n<p>Originally from Defiance, Ohio, Cheryl was drawn to Shepherd Center by its mission and the people who make it special. She wanted to be part of an organization that delivers care with realistic hope, laughter, and hard work\u2014values that continue to shape her approach today.<\/p>\n<p>Beyond her work at Shepherd, Cheryl has volunteered as a counselor at a free clinic serving individuals with spinal cord and brain injuries. She is also active in animal rescue and environmental programs, reflecting her deep care for both people and the world around her.<\/p>\n<p>An avid golfer, Cheryl finds that the sport offers a refreshing break for her mind, body, and soul. She also enjoys hiking, gardening, and regular workouts to stay active.
